Space Race Rumpus Cycling Festival

The Space Race Rumpus is a weekend cycling, music and camping festival held in Green Bank, West Virginia, on the grounds of the Green Bank Observatory. The 2026 edition runs 5-7 June and combines guided road rides of 20 to 50+ miles, mountain-bike rides for all levels, a short-track race and the STAG event mixing single-track, gravel and asphalt. The distinctive feature is the setting: riders race in the shadow of the Green Bank Telescope, the world's largest fully steerable radio telescope, inside the National Radio Quiet Zone.
