Origenext Bikepacking

Origenext is a self-supported bikepacking event traversing the Extremadura region of western Spain, scheduled for 22-24 May 2026. The 2026 route is 334 km long with around 6,049 m of cumulative elevation gain, threading through some of Extremadura's most remote dehesa, sierra and river valleys. Riders carry their own kit; the organisers provide a fixed GPX track and a handful of food and water points, but the format is strictly self-sufficient and only those who follow the official track are classified as finishers. The course is designed for gravel bikes or mountain bikes and combines forest tracks, cañadas and quiet back roads.
