DESCRIPTION:The Ben Cruachan Inn Hill Climb is a closed-road timed cycling hill climb taking place on Saturday 16 May 2026 at Loch Awe in Argyll\, Scottish Highlands. Organised by Oban Sportive as the curtain-raiser to its weekend\, the route runs roughly 4.3 km (2.7 miles) up the private access road from Loch Awe village to the Cruachan Hydro Dam\, climbing about 320 m at an average gradient of 6.9% with ramps of up to 18%. Riders set off at one-minute intervals from the Ben Cruachan Inn\, with parking at the inn or Loch Awe railway station. Entry fees are recycled into local Highland charities.
