The Bealach Na Bà Sportive is an iconic Scottish road cycling event organised by the Shieldaig Community Association in Wester Ross. The 45-mile route starts and finishes in the coastal village of Shieldaig and tackles the famous Bealach Na Bà, a 626-metre pass on the Applecross peninsula featuring switchbacks and gradients up to 20%. Highland Council closes the pass to traffic for the duration of the event, giving up to 500 riders safe passage over one of the United Kingdom's most demanding climbs.
